CRITERIA FOR ANALYZING A HISTORIC EVENT -CLICK HERE
When analyzing a historic event, address the following categories:
1. What is it? (define it)
2. Where did it happen? (name the place, find it on the map)
3. When did it happen? Is it still happening?
4. Who is/was involved?
5. How did the events unfold? (ways, sequences, strategies)
6. Why did it happen? (reasons behind the events/what caused it)
7. What were the consequences of the events?
8. Who benefited from these events?
9. What relations/connections does the event(s) has/have to other events?
10. What lesson can we learn from this event? Why does it matter to us?

HOW TO BE A SUCCESSFUL STUDENT
1. ALWAYS COME TO CLASS PREPARED. HAVE YOUR NOTES AND HAND OUTS READY AND YOU MIND SWITCHED INTO "ON" MODE
2. MAKE NOTES -PAPER OR DIGITAL
3. ALWAYS BE ACTIVE IN CLASS. BEING ACTIVE DOES NOT ALWAYS MEAN YOU HAVE TO SPEAK.
YOU CAN MAKE NOTES, WRITE COMMENTS, READ WITH PURPOSE, PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO OTHERS AND MOST OF ALL -THINK
4. ALWAYS LOOK THROUGH THE NOTES PROVIDED IN CLASS OR NOTES THAT YOU CREATED IN CLASS IN THE EVENING. DO YOUR ASSIGNED HOMEWORK RIGHT AWAY. DO ALL TASKS AND PROJECTS IN THE ASSIGNED TIME FRAME
